Why Do You Need A Family Dentist?

This year Coburg Dental Group, (Your Family Dentist Coburg) is celebrating 100 years of service to the community from the one site situated at 127 Sydney Road Coburg.  It has been our undertaking to provide the best of comprehensive dental treatment for patients of all ages in the one location.  Our youngest patient has been 3 days old. She has a laser tongue tie release to accommodate breast feeding. And our oldest patient has been over 100 years of age and needed a denture to be repaired.

The whole family can come to the dentist together, as our treatment co-ordinators can organize appointments with several of our 6 hygienists and dentists at the same time and hence save time for parents and carers.

As the family dentist Coburg, we are open after hours and seven days a week (except for public holidays). Public transport by tram, bus or train are all close by and there is ample street parking.  Our premises are wheelchair accessible with lift from street level to avoid using the steps for patients who have mobility issues.

We offer all aspects of dental treatment including regular dental care, digital xrays including intraoral x-rays, OPG and cone beam CT x-rays, treatment of gum inflammation and gum infection, teeth cleaning, tooth coloured fillings, dental bonding, crowns including Cerec crowns (crowns in 2 hours), oral digital scanning veneers, bridges, implants including teeth on 4 implants (also known as All-On -4®), orthodontic treatment, smile enhancements, root canal treatment, laser treatment including treatment of lip tie and tongue tie (referral required), oral surgery, tooth extractions, removal of wisdom teeth, sleep dentistry (treatment under sedation, twilight sedation or general anaesthetic), management of obstructive sleep apnoea (referral required).

Our recently renovated premises, include new and the most up to date equipment.  Our sterilization and disinfection room and associated protocols ensure that our dental treatment is offered in the most secure environment for the safety of our staff, patients and visitors.

We are also very proud of the fact that we train other allied health professionals on relevant aspects of dental care and train disadvantaged school leavers to undertake an apprenticeship to become dental assistants with a clear career path.

Most importantly however, is our wonderful staff, many of whom have been working at Coburg Dental Group for over 20 years.  These familiar faces love our friendly working environment, and our patients love it too.
